Restaurant Manager

Figaro Restaurant is looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join and lead our valued team.

Figaro Restaurant is one of the popular Italian restaurant in Canberra, we have a passion for food and service, love our guests and want to find someone to work with us that shares our passion for service, someone who believes in delivering quality of service that which our customers have become accustomed to.

This position is Full time, and requires the applicant to be able to work a varied roster including nights and weekends.


The restaurant is open 7 days a week for Dinner and lunch on Thursday's and Friday's.


The successful candidate will have at least 1-2 years management experience in middle to upmarket restaurants, and be willing to bring their leadership skills to our workplace.


We would expect that you will be able to lead a team of up to 4-6 staff per shift, and manage the venue in a fast paced but quality service environment.We are also looking for someone who is friendly, outgoing, and really caring about our regular guests, their family and friends - with the view to creating more regulars and make them feel special. In addition, it would be desirable if you have successfully completed as a minimum; Diploma in Hospitality Management, and speak Italian would be highly desirable.

Skills / Experience and Qualifications


  • Full Drivers Licence Essential

  • Ability to demonstrate a commitment to outstanding customer service.

  • Impeccable presentation with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Attention to detail, flexible and reliable and responsible.

  • Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment.

  • Embrace and demonstrate values.

  • Able to lead from the front (by example) and is prepared to show other.

  • Works efficiently and effectively.

  • Able to work at a fast pace and under pressure.

  • RSA essential.

  • Food Safety Supervisor Certification valid in the ACT is essential.

  • Only candidates with full working rights in Australia will be considered for this role.

  • Attention to detail, integrity and reliability ares paramount!!
